The one question you should be able to answer

Today I actually want to start by asking you a question:

Why do you do what you do?

If you are able to answer this -and feel good about it-, congratulations! You are actually part of a small percentage.

However, today I want to address those who haven’t identified their why. If this is your case, don’t worry. Lots of people -most people, actually- don’t really know why they do things, or do them for the wrong reasons.

I am here to tell you that we all have a why.

Your why is your purpose, the cause that makes you do what you do. It’s what makes you feel alive, what sparks your soul and gives you joy. For me, that is to empower women so they can be financially independent and live energetically aligned with their purpose.

I believe getting clear on your why is a crucial part of the process of starting and running a business. Whether you are developing a business project or you are already operating it, it’s essential that you know why you are doing it. After all, you are going to invest a lot of valuable resources on the process: money, but most importantly, time.

I am certain that you have a why that is worth finding and then sharing with world. I am sure you have a unique vision that can fulfill a need, solve a problem and improve someone’s life. Once you discover what your why is, you will be able to direct all your actions and efforts towards it and will feel constantly motivated to do what it takes to honor it. Your why will ignite you and give you the fuel to take your business to a whole new level.

In order to start getting clear on your why, here are five simple yet powerful questions you can ask yourself and reflect on. Write down anything that comes up and try to recognize the patterns in your answers.

• What need do I want to fulfill?
• What do I want to serve?
• What do I want to create?
• What do I want to give the world?
